At the time of this writting I'm 28 years old -I love even numbers-, living in some little corner of Spain. My birthday is on October and I was born in 1978. I went to school like a normal boy from 3 years old to become in a System Administrator a few years ago. I'd never pursued a High School degree due to my inability to focus on my studies while working a full-time job.

Talking of jobs, I have had not so much but all of them was related to Computers. Practices assembling computers, developing on Visual Basic, administering Windows Servers and finally doing BOFH on a local ISP *nix 24×7.

• Taking care of technology I must say that I am an Open Source fanatic, very interested in Unix Operating Systems specifically FreeBSD, OpenBSD, MacOSX and some Linux distros -as Ubuntu, Gentoo or Debian-.

• With this being said, I'm so interested in the security and forensic tools these types of operating systems provide for identifying and monitoring hosts, threats, etc. on a network. I like any kind of Internet Service or Protocol (http, ftp, smtp, named, samba, snmp, pop/imap…) and specifically firewalls with packet filter.

• I'm also interested in development world -mainly for web- over PHP and MySQL for creating dynamic web sites with advanced functionality -like content management systems-.

• Last 3 years -since iBook has arrived in my life I have become in a mac user and enthusiastic one. So I'd installed several Linux distros on PowerPC. Now I've got a MacBook with MacOSX and I'm enjoying all the good things of this OS -until wireless will be usable on *nix-.

• The first time that my parents gave a computer to me the games were in a 1/2 floppy disc -double density, wow!-. I remember games like Dr. Livingstone, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Goody, Jordan vs Bird… with 4 colors and addictive a lot. After firsts years, I have not played regularly -some exceptions, DukeNukem, Quake and HalfLife i.e.-.

• Now I've got a PS/2 and the only one -habitual- game that I play is Pro Evolution Soccer with friends. But other titles like Prince of Persia, Need for Speed or Budokai Tenkaichi are not indifferent for me.

• In portables I've got a DS with so many games. I'm a fan of TetrisDS, Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime Hunters, Final Fantasy 3 and lot of funny games.

• I've got a PSP too. I used to play here more than in DS. My favorites games are Pro Evolution Soccer (of course) and Virtua Tennis 3.

• I'm becoming in a very lazy human, but in free time I like to make very different things. My main hobby is the gym. I'm going to training 4 days in the week. After the gym I love a light dinner and a film in good company.

• I consider myself a sport fanatic (practice and watch on TV). Soccer is the habitual choice, Spanish and Premier League are my favs. Last year I have not practiced it so much but I hope it will change in the near future.

• Another one of my passions are the pocket bikes also known as minibikes. In summer we met -3 or 4 friends- to ride on little local circuits. Oil, crashes, winners, loosers and many many laughts.

Why 7throot? Don't know so well, I was looking for a free domain name and a friend of mine advise my about this one. It looks like a mystic cocktail between root word (superuser, you know) and the seven number -lucky one as many people says-.

The first version of 7throot was a CMS developed by me, with many bugs and hard to maintain/admin. After some weeks playing with DokuWiki as internal documentation platform I decided to tweak it and become in the CMS of this site. And here's the result.

All this contents are hosted on a AMD K6-2 300Mhz. running OpenBSD 3.9 with httpd chrooted. Connectivity is provided by a local ISP (mundo-r), assimetric bandwith: download → 6Mbps, upload → 300Kbps. That bandwidth would be slowly because of azureus, mldonkey or similar.
