Apple fanboy cycle of life

An Apple Fanboy cycle of life, by saad:

1. apple produces some shit
2. apple brands it as iShit
3. apple fanboyz knows about iShit
4. apple fanboyz convince themselves that they can't live w/o iShit
5. apple fanboyz give big RealMoney to get iShit
6. apple fanboyz realize afterwards that the "i" is just for kicks and iShit is still Shit fundamentally
7. apple fanboyz realize that RealMoney is not iMoney. It is Real.
8. they cry fool, flush their RAM and wait for the next iProduct announcement

Second bunker of 2008

Last night Wu and me met again at his house. This time with our laptops -as ever- and a tipical spanish omelette to eat.

After the dinner -and a couple of Fifa'04 matches on GameCube- we plug on the laptops and the bunker time started -NintendoDS Roms trading on background too ;)-. I had done the homework on CakePHP so -after a brief explanation- we focus on Django stuff.

I'm impressed about the newforms functionality. It seems so easy to create forms to interact with the database. I have to admit that it's possible to create a simple Django websites with poor Python skills, really nice.

The only think I didn't like is the way that Wu have created a only view with the code of various actions (delete, insert and update). IMHO it's a little confused way to save lines of code if you come from the world of MVC frameworks, but the good new is that you can do it (a view per action) on Django if you want. Nice!.

Lastly, near 2:00am we took some -nokia- photos (I've to copy them to the macbook and update the gallery) and the time was over. Cool way to finish the week. I hope that the next bunker will be as soon as posible.

First bunker of 2008

Last Thursday -Jan, 3- Wu and me met at him house with some pizza and the laptops. The main goal was trying to learn more about two particular frameworks: Django and CakePHP.

You can read the Wu's blog entry detailing all the bunker in better words than mines ones. So I would like to thank Wu for him hospitality (as ever).

Swimming

This morning, before to start working I went to the swimming pool for the first time this year (3rd day of year).

Firstly -after that- I felt tired but many hours later I feel as good as my back. I'm happy because I was becoming too lazy to swim early on the morning but today I did it.

Perhaps this words have nonsense, but a post per day is other way to improve my damn English level, two good ways to start this new year.

And a happy New Year

In Spain it's tipical to eat twelve grapes at 00:00 on the last day of the year. It's our way to start the new year. This time wasn't different, after a great -and copious- dinner we ate the lucky grapes and have drunk a couple of champagne bottles. That's the family party.

After that it's usual to wear some kind of special clothing -smoking or so- and go out to celebrate and drink with the friends. As I can remember it was over 8am when we arrived at home after a very funny party. On back walking it's tipical to eat churros with chocolate but this year we were so tired.

Next day -Jan, 1- it used to be a dead day, no one is 100% awake cause of headaches and general pain but it's funny to remember that stupid anecdotes about the previous night. Right now I'm still tired. What about your party?
